Da gennaio 2022 l’Università di Pisa è diventata membro effettivo di Circle U. – European University Alliance. che comprende altri 8 prestigiosi atenei europei, che cooperano allo scopo di rafforzare i legami tra insegnamento, ricerca, innovazione e società per rispondere alle grandi sfide globali di oggi e di domani, concentrandosi inizialmente sulle tematiche della democrazia, del cambiamento climatico e della salute globale. Obiettivo finale è quello di creare entro il 2025 un’università europea inclusiva, interdisciplinare e fortemente orientata alla ricerca.
Tra le opportunità per gli studenti degli Atenei parte di Circle U., sono aperte le candidature alle Summer Schools 2022 di Parigi, Oslo e Berlino:
Summer school at Université Paris Cité Paris from 4–8 July for PhD students and early-career researchers.
Circle U. is inviting PhD students and early-career researchers to apply to the first edition of its summer school on “Rethinking Global Health”, hosted by Université Paris Cité from 4 to 8 July. No matter your discipline – if you are interested in the health field, this summer school will provide you with a unique learning environment while giving insights into a wide range of topics such as health inequalities from an individual to a global perspective, the distribution of healthcare resources, migration, the role of women’s health as well as the future of globalised medicine and more. A combination of lectures, active learning and group work, all with a dilemma-based approach, will further your grasp on global health challenges. Through experimental activities and participating in excursions in and around Paris, you will have the opportunity to connect with leading professors and clinicians and build networks with your European peers.
Evidence & Democracy in Times of Crisis
Summer school at the University of Oslo from 8–12 August for Master students.
Avail of this unique opportunity to participate in Circle U.’s first summer course at University of Oslo with co-students from nine universities across Europe! The main objective of the MA course “Evidence and Democracy in Times of Crisis” is to develop knowledge and to discuss how decision processes are created in acute crisis, when knowledge is key. The MA course earns you 5ECTS and is highly interdisciplinary, which means you can study Political Science, Philosophy, Literature, Law, Geology, Medicine etc. On-site classes will take place at University of Oslo 8 – 12 August and will be followed by online activities.
Summer school at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 22–26 August for Bachelor and Master students.
Circle U. is inviting you to apply for a free-of-charge summer school on „Communicating Climate Science“. Here, you’ll gain insights into topics such as the impact of climate change, climate science and science communication. Through lectures, group work and writing workshops, you’ll reflect on communication challenges and learn how to target different audiences by using a variety of media. Moreover, by moderating panel discussions and participating in excursions in and around Berlin, you’ll get the chance to hone your communication skills, connect with established researchers and build networks with European peers. This is a blended summer school with online sessions running 15 – 17 August. On-site classes will take place 22 – 26 August at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and will be followed by one final online session in September

La partecipazione è gratuita ed è prevista una borsa di studio di viaggio.
