Seminario di Silvia Amicone

Venerdì 4 aprile 2025, alle ore 17:00 in aula PAO A2 di Palazzo Carità (Via Pasquale Paoli 15, Pisa) la Dr. Silvia Amicone (University of Tübingen) terrà il seminario dal titolo: Ceramica a decorazione grafitica nei Balcani: innovazione e trasferimento tecnologico alla soglia dell’età dei metalli.

Silvia Amicone is a research scientist within the Archaeometry Research Group of the University of Tübingen and Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute of Archaeology of the University College London. She completed an AHRC-funded doctoral research at the Institute of Archaeology, UCL, as member of the cutting-edge international project ‘The Rise of Metallurgy in Eurasia’. As a pottery analyst specialising in pottery technology in contexts of intense socio-cultural innovation, she has contributed to several projects in the Balkans and the Mediterranean area and she is an active member of the Archaeomaterials Research Network (AMRN, University College London). Archaeomaterials is her primary field of research, with an emphasis on ceramics and the multifaceted interactions between resources, technology and society.
